The International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Studies Center was established in May 2010 in Beijing, China, under the guidance and leadership of the IAA Secretariat for its operations and administrative affairs.

IAA Studies Center mainly undertakes the following tasks:

-Coordinating and liaising with IAA study groups

-Reviewing and publishing IAA technical reports

-Participating in the editing and reviewing of Acta Astronautica

-Organizing IAA Academician's Day and thematic academic exchanges in China

-Organizing and recommending Chinese experts to take part in the research and related work of IAA

-Promoting the research results of IAA study groups

-Performing the Regional Secretary tasks of China
